Seoul’s Overwatch team has finally received a name ahead of the debuting Overwatch League. The team will be known as the Seoul Dynasty.
Seoul Dynasty owner Kevin Chou said in a statement..
“Seoul is the birthplace of modern-day esports and holds a significant place in history, in addition to being the long-standing capital of the Joseon Dynasty and modern-day Korea. We have a tremendous responsibility to present the best of Seoul on a global stage.”
Seoul Dynasty is mostly made up of former Lunatic-Hai players who went on win two OGN Overwatch Apex championships. The team will spend the inaugural season in Los Angeles since all the games in the first season will take place in Los Angeles. If there is a second season, the games will be played in their respective cities.
