Reload Studios Opens, First Game Due Early 2015

Reload Studios, founded by former Infinity Ward Developers James Chung and Taehoon Oh is officially open for business according to the studios website, which went live earlier this week.  The team at Reload has already hired several well known and respected members of the industry including: Pete Blumel, former producer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare; Hougant Chen, former developer at Infinity Ward; and Nik Ranieri, a former animator from Disney.

The team at Reload aims to produce VR-Enabled games for next-gen systems, as well as mobile games for phones and tablets according to their website.  Currently, Reload is working on their first project, a VR-Enabled FPS for next-gen systems.  The yet unnamed project is currently slated for release in early 2015.

Despite the similar name, it’s unclear if Reload is in any way related to Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind Titanfall that was founded in 2010 by former Infinity Ward founders Jason West and Vince Zampella.
