High Level Halo 5 Players Will Be Matched With Lower Ranks

In order to combat the problem with population decline, 343 Industries will be matching high level Halo players with lower ranks for Halo 5. These changes will effect the SWAT and Free for All (FFA) playlist and is being done to avoid long wait times.

The lower ranks have the option to avoid matching against higher ranking players if they search for games under the “focused” preference.

The company is also considering combining ranked and social playlists, but only the players searching ranked will have their ranks affected. Needless to say, the announcement has seen a mixed reaction from the fans.
