According to an anonymous source for Camelot331, GameStop are looking at not closing stores as a good thing and says they never had intentions on sending the out at all.

So this is the deal. We had a meeting and basically it boils down to this. Gamestop is looking at this as a good thing. To be the only retail store open during this crisis. They released a press release claiming to be sending out cleaning kits and what have you. They actually had no intention on sending them out. At all.
The source goes on to state some stores are remaining open even after staff members come down with symptoms of COVID-19. Saying:
We have had associates come down with symptoms of the virus. They are then send home and the store just continues being open after that associate has been in contact with that store staff. So any customer going in that store is at threat. Gamestop will indeed keep the store open.
