Gamestop Associates Told Not To Comment On Lack of Cleaning Supplies

The Gamestop/COVID-19 fiasco continues as an anonymous source for Camelot331 said that sales associates have been told not to speak to any member of the press about not receiving cleaning supplies.

Stating:

We have issued a statement to associates to absolutely not speak of the lack of cleaning supplies and other things to “anyone on youtube (that being you) or in the press” Gamestop doesn’t want anyone knowing that they are trying to profit off of this disaster at the risk of lives of their associates.

The source also claims that if the company were to close for up to two weeks they would have to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and that they are prepared to pursue legal action against any government. Saying:

If the government pressures them to close or the authorities come to a specific store or groups of stores. They will threaten legal action directly against the local government or higher. We have our legal team going over everything right now. Gamestop plans on suing anyone who tries to attempt to force them to close.

If they close even for a week or two. They will have to file Chapter 11. So they are refusing.

This is same source who previously said that the company never planned on sending cleaning supplies to the stores.

We also want to note that we have reached out and received replies from several Gamestop associates around the country that the lack of cleaning supplies are true and they were indeed told not to talk to anyone in the media regarding the matter.
