After a nearly eight months hiatus, Akihabara Encount have announced they are returning to the competitive Overwatch scene and compete in the Overwatch Japan Community Challenge. This new roster consists of Choi “Ke1beros” Yeon Seo, Takumi “Nihito” Kawakita, Yudai “Mazz” Yamabe, Son “Mango” Myung-jin, Cho “Zerg” Jae Hyun, Hiromu “Daizy” Siono, and Kento “Plankton” Mori.
Despite being around since 2016, Encount have never made it to the Contenders scene and finished both Open Division runs in 13-16th place.
