During their latest financial conference call, Activision confirmed that the next installment in the Call of Duty franchise will return to Treyarch. This means that Activision is sticking with the three-year development cycle that sees Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games, and Treyarch.
Treyarch are most famous for developing the Black Ops series and have worked on other games such as Spider-Man (2002), Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfing, Quantum of Solace, and the Dreamcast port of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2.
