When the $150 pricetag was announced for the Xbox One Elite controller many were wondering if anyone would buy it considering the high price tag. Well we quickly found out when it was released in October that loads of Xbox One users didn’t mind the amount as they all flocked to stores to purchase them which quickly lead them to be sold out worldwide. So much so that as soon as retailers are restocked with them, they are still instantly being sold.
Xbox head Phil Spencer recently went on Twitter to congratulate a fan on who was able to find one to purchase by saying…
“I’m glad you found one. We keep shipping more in but they sell out instantly.”
It will be unclear when demand for the controller will go down, but we can expect that it won’t be anytime soon.
