The original Doom is very popular among speedrunners and it should be no surprise that the odds of the recently released Doom game on PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4 will no doubt become very popular as well.
If you have wondered just how fast the game can be completed we have an answer for you. As of publishing the current world record for Doom 2016 is 2 hours 18 minutes 38 seconds and is held by Nord from Sweden. For those curious, this is under the Any% category and the timer starts when you gain control in tutorial level and ends when Spider Mastermind Glory Kill is performed.
It’s also worth noting that only 2 different speedrunners have posted times and both submitted times were done using the PC version of the game.
