Twitter is officially getting into the video game market by announcing a new gaming-focused service called Twitter Gaming. The company has stated that the goal is to “support the avid gaming community and help the top gaming organizations and personalities deliver high quality content to and engage with their fans on Twitter.”
Twitter released this official statement…
“There are thousands of gaming-related Tweets sent on Twitter each day. Whether folks are discovering a new game, Tweeting at a gaming personality, keeping up with gaming news or following their favorite esport, we want want to make it easy for gaming fans to find and join the most vibrant conversations about games.”
This official account is dedicated to just gaming similar to how Twitter Music is completely related to music. Twitter Gaming already has major followers such as Twitch, Bethesda, Playstation France, Activision, and World of Warcraft.
