Speaking with Game Focus, a representative for Nexon confirmed that Titanfall Online has officially been cancelled. The representative stated:
“It is true that Nexon and EA have agreed to cancel Titanfall Online under a business decision. After much deliberation, it was decided that reallocating development resources to another project was better for the company.”
The game was first announced back in 2016, but received negative fan reaction from a small beta test. Some are also speculating this is in part due to a new focus on the Battle Royale craze that has seen the wild success of games such as Fortnite and PUBG.
