Nintendo of America have announced that the Switch has surpassed the Wii,becoming the fastest-selling home console in United States history. Since March 3, 2017, the console has sold 4.8 million units within the country. For comparison, the Wii sold 4 million units over the same period of time.
Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime had the following to say…
“Fans across the country have experienced the joy of playing their favorite games at home or on the go. Now that many more people have received Nintendo Switch systems for the holidays, we look forward to bringing them fun new surprises in 2018 and beyond.”
