Earlier this year Zagg acquired battery case manufacturer Mophie for $100 million and it seems that acquisition was a great investment. PC Magazine recently placed mophie’s Juice Pack Air for iPhone 6 a top pick. This and the release of Pokémon Go has caused Zagg’s stock price to increase over 25% in the past week.
Financial Analyst have noted that demand for this battery case has been going on for a few weeks and saw a surge after the release of Pokémon Go and that despite this the company is still expected to end this fiscal year in the red.
