Get ready Earthbound/Mother fans as Laura Kate Dale of LetsPlayVideoGames has gone on Twitter to say that Nintendo will be announcing that Mother 3 will be coming Nintendo Switch via Virtual Console in Q2 2017. Laura also noted the announcement will be made during the upcoming Switch Presentation set for January 12.
There are allegations that the game has been done for months and Nintendo are patiently waiting on the launch of Switch to release it. The game would also feature official translation and not ones done by fans. Dale went on to note that it was originally planned for Wii U, but “it was shelved to drive interest in the Switch once it became apparent the Wii U was not going to recover steam.”
Please keep in mind this is still a rumor and nothing has been confirmed at the time of publishing.
