Harmonix, the developers of Rock Band, announced the price for their upcoming game Rock Band 4. What was very odd was that the Playstation 4 version will cost $60 while the Xbox One version will cost $80. The reason for the Xbox One being notably more is because it will require a “Legacy Game Controller Adapter.” This adapter allows players to use existing drums and guitars that are compatible with Xbox 360. It will also allow up to 4 controllers at the same time.
The PS4 version will not require an adapter and drums and guitars will work without an additions. This also includes all 3rd party hardware.
Rock Band 4 will be released on October 6.
