Honeypot Games have launched a public playtest for their upcoming top-down metroidvania title Recital of the Heart.
Players must help Gregory retrieve mirror shards coveted by obsessive, disturbed, and disparaged antagonists and return to the real world, where his love Eliza awaits him.
Keifer Nemeth, cofounder of Honeypot Games, said in a press release:
“Recital of the Heart began as a literal childhood dream that was remembered, recorded, and kept until decades later. I asked Dante [Cofounder] if he had any ideas about a game to make in this genre and he said ‘I have exactly what you need.’ So in a sense, this game has been waiting to be made for almost 20 years.”
Both the playtest and a free demo is available on their official Steam page.
