It seems we are closely coming to the end of an era as according to the official Japanese Playstation website, the PS Vita will be ending production within the country soon. Under the listings for both the Aqua Blue and Black colors it specifically mentions that “shipments are scheduled to end soon.”
As noted last year, the PS Vita will ending production in the West on March 31, 2019 and Sony Interactive Entertainment vice president Hiroyuki Oda mentioned to Famitsu that production in Japan would end some time this year.
