In an interesting turn of events, sources for Business Korea have stated to production of the Playstation 5 will start as soon as this week. It’s said that suppliers have already started the production process and that the console is heavily dependent on third-party vendors.
AMD will be heavily involved with manufacturing as the console will use a custom 8-core Ryzen Zen 2 architectured processor along with the GPU using Radeon RDNA 2 architecture. It will also feature 16 GB of GDDR6 system memory and 825 GB of SSD storage.
