Phil Spencer Teases JRPG Appearances At E3 2018

During a recent response spree on Twitter, Xbox head Phil Spencer answered some fan questions about Japanese games and E3. Spencer revealed that Japanese publishers have been a focus for the company and that loads of Xbox owners love and enjoy playing them. Stating:

“The support from the Japanese publishers has been a focus and it’s great to see Xbox customers buying and playing the games. I heard the feedback early in the role that we were missing a lot of 3P games. More to do.”

Spencer also teased that some JPRGs will be appearing at E3 2018 during their press conference. What those games will be remains a mystery. Spencer replied to a fan:

As of now, yes. Things can change but like last year I wanted to make sure we supported our Japanese publishers on our stage and this year we are working to do the same. It’s important to us.

One interesting tidbit was when a fan asked if there would be more JRPGs that will be exclusive to the Xbox One, Spencer just said “Yes.”
