Luigi’s Mansion 100% PAL Record Broken

Luigi’s Mansion is one of the most popular games ever made on the Nintendo GameCube. It’s also no surprise that the game would also have a really popular speedrunning community like most games in the Mario franchise.

Today the World Record for the 100% PAL version was broken by a player out of the United States who goes by Veman3000. Veman posted a time of 1 hour 13 minutes 32 seconds. This beats the previous world record held by Jaredsgiantz who had a time of 1 hours 17 minutes 13 seconds.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Luigi’s Mansion speedrunning community, the PAL version has it’s own categories compared to the United States and Japanese versions as the PAL version does not have some game breaking glitches that the other versions have. For example, Veman3000 is also the current record holder in the Any% (Oob) category with a time of 8 minutes 44 seconds.
