Dan Andelman Leaves Nintendo

Dan Adelman, the Indie Outreach Specialist for Nintendo, announced via Twitter that he is no longer with the company.

Adelman told Kotaku that “When people started complaining that I wasn’t active on Twitter anymore, it was suggested that a PR person could just post in my name. I thought that was about the worst idea I’d ever heard, so I left it as is and let the silence speak for itself.”

For those who don’t know. Nintendo banned Adelman from using Twitter a few months ago for showing sympathy for gamers who were not happy about region locking. The tweet said :I too used to live in Japan. Had 2 SNESs – one Japanese, one US. I feel your pain.”

Adelman will still be involved in the gaming industry as a consultant for Indie developers.
