Court Date Set For GTA Modders Against Take-Two Interactive

In an update to an article we published back in November, a court date has been set between Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive and the creators of popular Grand Theft Auto mods re3 and reVC. Thanks to Ben of Rockstar Intel we have learned that a court date has been set for February 28, 2023.

Initial disclosures will start next month with multiple disclosures and cutoffs taking place between February 2022 and February 2023.

The lawsuit stems from Take-Two Interactive accusing two GTA mod creators of copyright infringement. The modders are fighting the case with attorneys noting that no source files were changed, the creators do not reside in the United States, and that the mods were distributed free of charge.
