Browser Version of Vice City Shut Down

Vice City Takedown Request Sent To DOS Zone
Vice City Takedown Request Sent To DOS Zone

Earlier this week we mentioned that DOS Zone created a fully functional browser version of the original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Now it appears it was shut down thanks to Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive.

In a Telegram post, the team mentioned they received a DMCA takedown request directly from Take-Two Interactive and will shut down the project for the time being. The team said:

“We’ve received an official pre-DMCA letter from TakeTwo/Rockstar. The letter has been printed and framed and hung on the wall! Now, as required, we’re forced to shut down our project. But we’ll definitely return after removing all the obstacles blocking its implementation.”
