Sega Designer Hideki Sato Passes Away

As confirmed by Japanese outlet Beep21, Hideki Sato has passed away at the age of 77.

Known as the “Father of Sega Hardware” Sato worked at Sega between 1971 and 2008 and designed all the consoles between this period. This includes the Master System, Genesis, Saturn, and Dreamcast.

Sato was also the company’s acting president between 2001 and 2003.
