Rumors are circulating that we could see the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise releasing in 2023. This is thanks to a new 10-K SEC filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission by Take-Two Interactive.
In the filing, the company note they intend to spend a minimum contractual obligations and commitments of $89 million during the fiscal year of 2024. This has led investment analyst Jeff Cohen to predict that then will be when Grand Theft Auto VI will see a release since it will be nine times their marketing budget for this current year.
Cohen did note:
“We are not sure how much we should be reading into this shift, but we would note that this disclosure accurately predicted the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2 prior to that game’s announcement.”
