Midsummer Night Developer Shows Importance Of Marketing Indie Titles

Everlasting Fantasy have released a new video showing the importance of advertising your games if you are in independent game developer.

Midsummer Night originally released in 2016 and was taken off Steam six months ago. The developer decided to bring the game back 2 weeks ago and provided his Steam financial report. In it, it shows that only 87 copies sold with a lifetime Steam revenue of $101. The total net revenue was $83. Steam takes a 30% royalty for every copy sold which means the developer will pocket around $50 in total. What makes this worse is that the Steam Direct fee is $100. That means that the game pulled a negative profit.
